Living Darfur

Una bellissima canzone...

Living Darfur - Mattafix

See the nation through the people’s eyes,
See tears that flow like rivers from the skies.
Where it seems there are only borderlines
Where others turn and sigh,
You shall rise x2

There’s disaster in your past
Boundaries in your path
What do you desire when lifts you higher?
You don’t have to be extraordinary, just forgiving.
Those who never heard your cries,
You shall rise x2
And look toward the skies.
Where others fail, you prevail in time.
You shall rise.

(You may never know,
If you lay low, lay low) x4
You shall rise x3

Sooner or later we must try… Living
(You may never know,
If you lay low, lay low) x4

See the nation through the people’s eyes,
See tears that flow like rivers from the skies.
Where it seems there are only borderlines
Where others turn and sigh,
You shall rise x4

(You may never know,
If you lay low, lay low) 4x

Sooner or later we must try… Living

Sangria :)

Ingredients:
3 liters of red wine ... or substitute the red wine with white wine for sangría blanca (white sangría)
1 liter of lemonade
2 peaches
1 apple
2 oranges
1 lemon
1 chunk of cinnamon
Sugar
Instructions
Wash all of the fruit and cut it into chunks. Now add the wine. After letting it all soak together so that the wine absorbs the fruity flavors, add the lemonade, sugar, and cinnamon (at this point you can also add other liqueors if you so desire). Mix everything together, cool it, and then serve it even colder with ice cubes and fruit chunks.

From the Basque word kalimotxo, this third wine-mixed drink originated during the 1970's in the Basque Country and has since spread throughout the rest of the country. A favorite of young Spaniards, it's cheap yet tasty. Much simpler than the sangría recipe, simply combine one part red wine (some swear that the best wine for calimochos is actually the cheap kind from a box!) and one part cola and you'll have yourself a drink.
C'è anche su Wikipedia (in spagnolo): ihihi!

Broccoli

"I do not like broccoli. And I haven't liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli."

There's too much blood in my caffeine system.

I Wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Black Eyed Peas lyrics

Oggi, tornando dal lavoro in macchina, ho sentito una vecchia loro canzone alla radio, "Where is the love?" e queste parole mi sono rimasta impresse e mi hanno fatto pensare a quello che ho scritto ieri sera:

But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Frase dolce

The spirit of a teacher is that of an angel.

Bordertown

Ma perchè l'India no?

Weekend

Hi to everyone :)
Here all is fine, job is going on even if with some little obstacles (I hope to remove them as soon as possible), I feel great and powerfull... so, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
My weekend to Trento was good: the course was wonderful, I loved the way professors explained us practical things but also the use of their own cases, with tape. And, like always in those situations, now I have the sensation that I have tons of stuff to read and learn. But this part is the one I really like :)

My Msn friend Carlos sent my a nice link to one of Colombian national newspapers, El Tiempo, in order to show me pics of 21 candidates per "The 7 wonderful of Colombia". For him, it's a way to show and let me know his country, for me a way to fall in love even moere with South America. And now I want more and more to go travel there, a (long) journey to know those places better.
Those are 2 pics I love the most!

See Carlos, also in English, as I promised.
